Excessive output with LAECHG=.TRUE.

Problems running VASP: crashes, internal errors, "wrong" results.

Excessive output with LAECHG=.TRUE.

#1 Post by MBaeker » Fri Jan 22, 2021 8:23 am

This is only a minor issue, but still slightly annoying.
When setting LAECHG=.TRUE. it seems that on a multi-processor-setting, each node writes two lines like
augmentation electrons 4082.12221962180
soft electrons 0.000000000000000E+000
to the output, cluttering the output severely.
(VASP version 5.4.4, with impi/2019.5 on this machine: https://www.hlrn.de/supercomputer/hlrn-iv-system/)

I'm not sure if this is intended behaviour or not.

Thanks for the report.
This issue was already fixed in VASP 6.
