changing the color of a specific molecule in vmd

#1 Post by elhmo » Wed Sep 03, 2014 9:24 am

Hello!

I am trying to visualize my CrN unitcell. If I try to use vmd, Cr atoms are shown in torquoise color and N atoms are green. Does anyone have any idea how to change these default colors?

Hi,

I dont know how to change the default color, but you can change the elements' colors every time you open your files using VMD.

Graphics -> Colors (in the Categories section, click on Name (for instance N) and then from the Colors section choose your desired color.

I hope it helps

Cheers
