Hi everyone.
I have just compiled version 5.3.2 for IBM AIX 7.1, the file kernel.bindat was in tar.gz file, and during testing vdW-DF part I have received warning:

nmesh 587202560
nd 35
kernel differs, recalculating vdW kernel
it is strongly recommened to download the file vdw_kernel.bindat
(it is included in the source directory of vasp.5)
the calculation of the kernel might take days ...

It's seems to be that I would need binary file for IBM AIX 7.1 or recalculate it myself. Has anyone met this issue on any IBM AIX system?

Hi, the issue most probably is that the kernel is stored as little endian while AIX uses big endian (we've met this before). I've sent you the file with big endian order.

I have the same problem for IBM AIX machine. Is there any place where I can download the big endian-version of vdw_kernel.bindat?
