How to run the file?

I am starting to learn about VASP. Besically I am new user. I read about the VASP but i couldent understand that, "HOW TO RUN THE FILES EXISTED IN VASP??" And also tell me how visualise the OUTPUT?

example:
Create a work directory, copy the bench*.tar.gz files to this directory and untar the benchmark.tar file.
gunzip <benchmark.tar.gz | tar -xvf -
Then type
directory_where_VASP_resides/vasp

for the visualization: please either use standard visualization tools (xmgrace, gnuplot, data explorer), p4vasp or GoVASP
