optical absorption between VBM and impurity band

#1 Post by handxiaoxi » Mon Apr 01, 2013 4:17 am

Hi,
I am learning to calculate the optical properties with VASP5.2,
there are some questions need to conslut to you .
In impurity-doped systems, how to sepatare the contribution to absorption into two parts, one is the IB(impurity band) to CB (consuction band),and the other is VB (valence band)to IB.
As we have known, the absorption is obtained by dielectric constant, then, the key is how t separate the dielectric constant?
Thank you very much !
Look forward to give advice or comments
