problems with memory allocation

Dear all,
we had installed VASP in our computer cluster and it runs for most of the calculations.
The problem is that for some calculations the program allocates to much memory making that the calculation does not run. I sent these calculations to other machine and they run without any problem allocating less memory. Maybe we need to include some special FLAG during the compilation.
Can anyone help me?

no. please have a look whether your stack size (environment variable) is limited on the machine on which the job crashes
